Determined...

Nothing much has happened lately but I am determined to keep my blog interesting and updated!!!

For the Intellectuals...
I am currently reading "Love in the Time of Cholera" by Gabriel García Márquez. I am enjoying this book. And even though I'm only 50-something pages in I totally understand why people love this author. My only concern is the number of times I've laughed in during this so called "romance"; but considering the happenings so far, I'm fairly certain that this is the appropriate reaction at this point in the novel. And actually, looking back at my dating relationship with Gerald, our reactions to each other were pretty funny - still are actually.

For the Chefs...
I'm really getting into cooking these days. And I mean like fancy foods with garnishes and marinades. The kind that you want to take your time to chew b/c you don't want to miss a single flavor. I don't know what came over me during my engagement to Gerald, but suddenly I became obsessed with being a wife. I wanted to know everything about cooking, cleaning...really just taking care of a home in general. This is strange because I never really cared before. I guess it all hit me when I first registered at Bed, Bath and Beyond. I walked in the store, grabbed my scanner and went to work. Somewhere along the way I convinced myself that a kitchen was not a kitchen without a lemon zester...I never turned back...

Last week I made sauteed shrimp with tropical salsa. Gerald said it was restaurant worthy and I humbly agree...it was the bomb y'all. I'll add my recipe ASAP!

Other than that nothing out of the ordinary has happened in all these three weeks of marriage. One thing is for certain, Gerald and I are having a ton of fun. I've always been the kind of person who preferred to live alone because of my never-ending list of SSBs but it turns out that Gerald is really accepting of my quirks and kind of embraces them. I end up laughing at my self usually - he does such a good impression of me even though in his mind I sound like a horse...

when Tony imitates me I have the same voice his mom and sister have. I think he is only able to do one girl voice.
